Vaxa Ocu-Care contains L-Glutathione. Why is it so important? L-Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant for eyes. High levels of glutathione increases protection for a number of lens-related functions. Levels of L-Glutathione significantly decrease as we age, and that changes in glutathione levels significantly increase the vulnerability of the lens to cataract formation, the leading cause of impaired vision.

Glutathione, in its antioxidant strength, protects the sulfur-containing proteins from oxidizing or free radical damage. When proteins become oxidized within the lens of the eye, they become more opaque, clouding the lens, and stopping light from entering. Glutathione is also necessary in maintaining the Sodium-Potassium Pump of the body and specifically its ability to move sodium, potassium and calcium salts in and out of the lens itself. And again, if these salts are disproportionate, cloudiness sets in and vision is obscured.

Suggested Usage:
60 capsules per bottle. Take 2-3 capsules daily, or as directed by a physician. For more severe problems, take 6-8 capsules daily for 4-6 weeks, or as directed by physician.
