Vitamin A:
Vitamin A is one of the most important vitamins we need. It has many roles to play in our biological universe.
Functions:
- Prevents night blindness and other eye problems
- Prevents some skin disorders as acne
- Enhances immunity
- Helps heel gastrointestinal ulcers
- Needed for the maintenance and repair of epithelial tissues which form the skin and mucous membranes
- Important for the formation of the bones and teeth

- Protects against colds, flu and infections of the kidney, bladder, lung and mucous membranes
- Antioxidant protecting the cells against cancer and other diseases and is necessary for new cell growth
- Guards against heart disease and stroke
- Lowers cholesterol levels
- Slows the ageing process
- Helps utilize protein
- Helps eliminates wrinkles, reduce fine lines in the skin and fade age spots
Primary Deficiency syndromes:
