Mr. Gillham's formulations and products are utilized as part of the highly successful New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, which has helped restore quality of life to over five hundred firefighters, emergency medical technicians, sanitation workers and others who were exposed to and suffered from significant amounts of toxic chemicals at Ground Zero.
Peter Gillham is well known for his philanthropic contributions in support of drug education and drug-free withdrawal, human rights and various public benefit programs. He donated large quantities of nutritional supplements to assist those in need at Ground Zero, the recent tsunami disaster and Hurricane Katrina.
Born and educated in Australia, Peter Gillham opened his first nutrition center in Los Angeles, California, in 1978. During this period he was involved in extensive research, the findings of which were contained in 52 published health bulletins. This research culminated in 1980 with a breakthrough resulting in the formulation of a more bioavailable form of magnesium. In 1982, Mr. Gillham released the product Natural Calm, a water-soluble magnesium powder using his formula for maximum absorption, superior bioavailability and accelerated speed of delivery. This has since become the best-selling product in its category and has been extended by Mr. Gillham to include specialty formulations for children, infants and expectant or new mothers. |
